Who are we?
Centacare South West NSW is proudly a social service agency of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga.
We are a member of the wider network of Catholic social service organisations across Australia, known as Catholic Social Services Australia.
Centacare, is a not for profit, non government organisation that has been providing professional services to individuals and families since 1991.
We act on behalf of the Diocese to alleviate disadvantage through the provision of services to children, young people, individuals, families and communities in the Diocese.
The Difference We Make
Centacare works with people in making a positive difference in their lives. Through our services and programs we strive for all those we serve to:
Be connected to supports and to community
Feel more empowered in their life.
Do I have to be a Catholic to access services? No you don’t.
We warmly welcome any person in our region in need of assistance and support regardless of religion, age, gender, physical or intellectual capacity or ethnicity.
We will work with you to find which services and programs best meet your or your loved ones needs.
Centacare is an agency for ALL in the community.
Promoting social justice and inclusion
Centacare recognises, respects and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional owners and custodians of the land and our Reconciliation Action Plan has been formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia.
Reconciliation Australia is an independent, national not-for-profit organisation promoting reconciliation by building relationships, respect and trust between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Centacare is also an enthusiastic supporter of the “Racism. It Stops with Me Campaign” sponsored by the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Our Watch organisation seeking to end violence against women and children.
