Dementia Recovery Education & Support Groups Newsletter March 2017

RESG groups are into their seventh week of Term One and have been very well received by those attending. The groups have comprised information and discussion groups on a range of topics including; Living Well with Dementia, About Me, Managing Stress & Keeping Healthy, Marvelous Medicines & Interventions and Forward Planning.  The social groups have also had good level of attendance. Both Wagga and Leeton Groups have attended a morning tea at local cafés, Local Library Information Session, Guest   Speakers and in the last week of the term, groups will have an opportunity to attend a BBQ within their local park.

Wagga and Leeton groups have been really well received and these two groups will continue in second term, but will be offered twice per month. One social group and one information session per month.

RAD are looking to start another group in Narrandera and will be holding an information session on the 12th of April to determine the level of community interest.  If you know anyone who might be interested, please refer them to the RAD team.

The Wagga group day has been changed, to enable individuals to attend other local programs.

Please confirm your place, as numbers are limited.  You are welcome to attend all sessions, or select those that interest you.  The first five weeks of the term are structured and the remainder weeks are social  get together.
